Don't need to be 21. If your Sol runs and can make the trip, then you can come and play.

Definitely come if it is road worthy! We don't hate on people for having unfinished projects. At this point in the game, it is all about restoration and preservation!

It's all about being there!
There are a lot of Solers who are not yet 21 and a lot of others whose cars are not perfect (or even near it).
It's all about the fun.

Everyone is encouraged to bring along an FRS/GMRS handheld radio.
We'll be on channel 5-18 (the date May 18th).

I got a set of 'cobras' when they were on sale at Fry's a couple weeks ago. I think they were $40. The range (on high-power GMRS) is a max of 16 miles.
We'll all be on channel 5-18, which is in the low-power FRS band.
You don't absolutely need a radio- some people (like me) will have two of them and can loan the extra out.
Also there are cell phones for staying in touch with the rest of the Sol Train, so the radio thing is just for a little more fun.

If you don't mind not having your own room there's always the option of crashing with someone who's got a room already. That cuts the room rate at least in half- say down to $60/night.

Activities for the meet itself are minimal cost- prolly less than $50 and that's a high estimate including the cruise ($5), drags ($20+), t-shirt ($20), and raffle tix.

anyone know where i can get some radios for cheap or should i buy some @ costco and return them when i get back??? i know there are pelnty that will share but i need a set for the drive to Peggy sues...

ah! i'll be a little late to the meet and greet tonight cause i get off work at 8... but it should only take me 20mins to get to the other side of town
