Hey Solers!

I'm in charge of the Trivia Quiz at Vegas Invasion VII and I've got a lot of good little bits of trivia about our cars and I've come up with some wicked stumpers!


I'm always open to new suggestions, so here's your chance to get an edge on the competition!
PM me with your suggestion for a trivia question and if I use it you'll know the answer already! Hot diggity-dog!
Make sure that the answer is verifiable and clear so we don't have any geek-fights.

The Quiz will happen on the day of the meet- Saturday.
You'll get your quiz sheet when you check in at the registration table.
Go off to a corner and make sure nobody's lookin' over your shoulder and fill out the sheet as best you can.
Bring it back to registration for me to score it up BEFORE NOON.

I'm also looking for some donations of articles that might make good prizes for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place.

No rules said you couldn't look it up. Everyone else just assumed you couldn't and lost out! Thats that "Outside the Box" thing...

Actually Bill, Mike and I took our tests together and Bill knew just about every question right off the top of his head without internet. I think Duke probably did too but he has to be uber thorough in everything he does, its just his way.

Duke told me he knew all the answers but used the internet to be sure. S'ok- I didn't make a rule against using the internet and with the quiz in everyone's hands at the Meet and Greet I half expected it. It was fun any which way you do it.

I had a little help too with Mike & Bill there but I only used them to confirm some of my guesses and one spelling ? which is why I'm not tied with them. I tell ya you boys sure do come in handy sometimes

I was told that those of us who only named the main title of the colors and did not spell out the whole thing ie. Granada vs. Granada Black Pearl also lost points, I'll do better next time.

Yes that's true.
From the whorehouse discussion a few days ago-

My reasoning being that the actual color is an important part of the color's title.
"Captiva" isn't a color...

I also gave points to anyone who answered 22 and 19 for wiper sizes- for either side. Geoff pointed out that 'left' and 'right' are more ambiguous than 'driver' and 'passenger'.
(The correct answer is that the larger blade goes on the driver's side.)

i pretty much put the test down when i seen it asked about top posters on this site .. its not my home site and i knew that would keep me out of winning i had most of the other answers though . even the wiper blade sizes and year discrepencies about optional and standard equipment. nice quiz

Sorry that one question turned you off. I bet you would have ended up in the top 10.
I did not expect anyone to get 100% from the info in their head and that question about top posters was more of a joke and a nod to the event planners.
There will be a couple changes next year that might level the field a little.

no worries . i just figured with so many ppl , competition would be close , and with so many ppl on this board . 15 points would be alot for one answer. if i make it back next year ill turn in my answer sheet
