 Apexi WS2 Muffler
I was wondering if anyone has any idea how loud an Apexi WS2 muffler would be on a Del Sol VTEC? My stock muffler has a rust hole in it and I want to get a nice universal muffler to replace it. The Apexi WS2 seems to me as being the closest looking to my stock muffler. Suggestions? Thanks

 Re: Apexi WS2 Muffler
I don't know how great that would sound on a stock diameter cat back, could be very raspy/ ricey.

 Re: Apexi WS2 Muffler
check out magnaflow they have a lot of options in the style department and you can find something on the more stock looking side. Also they aren't crazy loud. Ed and Dy have a youtube video of their magnaflow muffler on their GSR. I can't seem to find it but I m sure one of them will see this and chime in.

 Re: Apexi WS2 Muffler
if you like quiet and looking like stock then i suggest my personal favorites RS*R ex mag or Bosal performance BroSpeed exhaust also a more economic solution would be to buy a rsx type S exhaust and get it welded to your current set up

 Re: Apexi WS2 Muffler
What about the Tanabe Medalion Touring exhaust? Their big thing is that it meant to meet or be better than any sound regulations. Take a look at Tanabe's Sound Clips. THey have some of these exhaust running on a D16A6 Civic Or Youtube TANABE: Medalion Touring -- 1991 Civic Hatch EF (Outside) Or you could build your own with the muffler of a new si or rsx like this one. But this is mostly about a sound than performance Civic Muffler1Civic Muffler2

 Re: Apexi WS2 Muffler
I would doubt that the GSR system would work without modification. But they sell a system made for Del Sols. I think the part number is #112-309. Tanabe has a system made specially for Del Sols as well. Their part #T70007.

 Re: Apexi WS2 Muffler
Thanks for all the suggestions. I'm still undecided on what I want. Would an axelback exhaust off a '94 Civic fit my '94 Del Sol VTEC?

 Re: Apexi WS2 Muffler
the civic axleback should be the same. the only issue that you may come acrss is the diameter of the pepe could be different from the stock pipe.

 Re: Apexi WS2 Muffler
Ok cool. I've found that some sites list a Civic of the same year also compatible with my car. The listed exhaust is 2 inches. Is that same size as the stock Del Sol Vtec exhaust?

 Re: Apexi WS2 Muffler
yes they're the same size. also, the WS2 does sound hella raspy on stock diameter piping. lol. driving behind my friend's civic with d16 is torture... a note about the Tanabe exhausts... the Concept G is supposed to be 93db, im not sure if its just because mine is freshly installed, but its loud as hell....i was originally going to go with the super medalion hyper, but went with the Concept G instead...kinda regret it. lol.

 Re: Apexi WS2 Muffler
I'm not fond of that style of exhaust no matter who makes it. Tanabe, go Tourning Medilion. That Bosal sounds great too. Apexi, WS2. Rs*r, get it Exmagic cause you will have one hell of a time finding it again if you let it pass you by. Or build your own off of another Honda's exhuast. You have some great options, just pick the one you like the best

 Re: Apexi WS2 Muffler
That's exactly what I've been doing. I have been looking at all the exhausts everyone has kindly referred to me. I only wish I could afford some of them. As of now I still really like the Apexi WS2 muffler, but I did find this video ( http://videos.streetfire.net/video/Bran ... _55315.htm) which the muffler on that car doesn't sound that great. The other muffler I also like is one by Magnaflow, which looks like this. I thinks as of now it comes down to whether or not I can get a good deal on exhaust work at a muffler shop. Maybe if it's cheap enough I could get custom catback exhaust. Would you guys recommend getting custom 2.5 inch exhaust? Would getting the 2.5 inch exhaust make the Apexi WS2 muffler sound better? Thanks for your help. I'm wanting to pick the best option I have for exhaust. I'm pretty much broke and don't have much money to throw around. I just really want to replace my stock muffler with the giant hole in it so I can hear myself think when I'm driving.

 Re: Apexi WS2 Muffler
as long as you stay away from anything borla, 2.5" piping would be good. just make sure that they dont make it one piece. Have them break it up into sections. Also make sure that the dimensions on the muffler are going to fit in the space where the stock one is

 Re: Apexi WS2 Muffler
Well, I think I found an inexpensive solution for now. Flowmaster has an axel-back exhaust for 91-95 civics. I can get it for under $200 and hopefully in the future I can afford a better exhaust system.

Whatever route you go make a video of it for us and for youtube so that you can help others in the same situation! And give us the low down on it and what you think.
